Bertha is a Licensed Master of Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals become the best version of themselves. Bertha works collaboratively with clients to help find what brings fulfillment and purpose in life. Her work is focused on helping others by teaching and developing mindsets to achieve self-empowerment. Bertha seeks to help individuals live a happy fulfilling life, based on what is meaningful to them.
Bertha earned her graduate degree from Arizona State University and her undergraduate degrees in both Psychology and Spanish from the University of Arizona. Bertha is an associate level counselor, specializing in youth and family therapy services. Bertha is experienced in areas related to social emotional learning, anger management, childhood grief, and emotional and behavioral issues. She is also a skilled therapist for individual teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disruption, and couples working on relationship concerns, parenting and co-parenting needs.
Bertha is an Arizona Native living in Phoenix, AZ. When she isn’t practicing therapy, she is likely walking her Miniature Dachshund, who she is completely obsessed with. Bertha also enjoys traveling, cooking, Zumba dancing, watching baking shows (for the dessert recipes of course) and watching baseball games while rooting for her favorite team - Go D-backs! Bertha is an avid learner and right now is excited and focused on learning gardening, business management, and community-based youth programs.
